We gladly accept returns on select items

We don't accept exchanges or cancellations
But please contact us if you have any problems with your order.

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale or clearance 
  • Completed build-at-home pieces
  • Gift cards/certificates 
Conditions of return and refunds
Most customer returns are free. International fees, taxes, and shipping charges will be paid in full by Modero. Please note that on rare occassions the customer may be required to pay this upfront. If this happens, please send us proof of return purchase and we will discuss compensation. If the product arrives damaged, you MUST contact us when you receive the package to inform us that it is damaged. We are not responsible for damages that incur on the customer's behalf after delivery. We are also not responsible for damages on behalf of the courier that occur during transport, but we will facilitate communication with the courier to ensure adequate compensation should this occur. Please inform us and the courier or delivery company immediately if you receive a package damaged. If the item is not returned in its original condition (unless damaged already), the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. If all conditions are met, you will be refunded to your method of purchase, usually within 4-10 business days.

Full Return Policy

Return Eligibility
Items must be in new condition and in the original packaging to qualify for a refund (please do not assemble or modify the product in any way). The few exceptions that cannot be returned include:
  • Clearance items
  • Gift certificates or gift cards
  • Personalized or custom items
  • Items marked “Non-Returnable” (clearly indicated on the sale page before placing your order)
  • Intimate items
Return Window and Refunds
Contact us within 7 days of delivery, You can return an item for a refund within 21 days of delivery. For most products, we offer three methods of refunds:
1) You can receive a full refund in the form of store credit. 
2) You can receive a refund of the merchandise total to your original payment method. With this option, we’ll send you a prepaid return label and the return shipping charges will be automatically deducted from your refund amount. If your item arrived damaged or defective, we are happy to arrange for a prompt replacement. 
3) Just keep it. If your item arrives and is not to your expectations or is slightly damaged, we may allow you to simply keep it and refund your method of payment. Please note this option is only available on select items.


Please make sure the item you are returning is packaged correctly so that it doesn't return to us damaged or you will NOT be refunded for damaged items. To avoid this please repackage it the same way we sent the item to you.  ​

Extended Holiday Return Policy!
We extend our returns during the months of January and December to 30-day returns. Please note, you will be responsible for return shipping costs. If you receive an item that has a problem, please contact us at support@moderodecor.ca ​

What if My Order Arrives Damaged?
We package all of our products well so they arrive on your doorstep snug, safe, and secure. We double-box many items, and we refuse to sell products that are easily damaged during shipping. If an item does arrive damaged please notify us within 7 days. If you ordered by Truck Freight or White Glove, please note the instructions below.​

Our Truck Freight and White Glove return policy.
  • When you sign for delivery, even if the package appears only slightly damaged, please write "Package Damaged." If the package looks significantly damaged, you may refuse delivery. In this case, please notify us so that we can expect the return shipment. Once the package returns to us we will send you a new one right away.
  • If you have already accepted the package and notice damaged parts, please contact us right away. If we cannot replace the item, we will give you a full refund for the damaged item. 
  • If you decide you do not want a replacement unit, you can return the item under our standard return policy.
  • If you received a damaged product or the wrong product and we cannot solve the issue with either a full replacement.
  • If your product has a manufacturer's defect, we can either replace the defective part or, if necessary, the entire unit.
